In the popular neighborhood of Jan Thiel you find varied activities on Curacao for both young and old. A few minutes from the apartment are beautiful beaches such as Playa Caracas Bay, Jan Thiel Beach and Papagayo Beach situated. On these beaches you can sunbathe, swim and snorkel or scuba dive. Daily, there depart organized boat trips from the Spanish Water to Klein Curacao for instance, or opt for a (half) day to go along with a snorkel trip. At shopping mall Jan Thiel Beach you will find quaint shops, the Diamond Casino and an Italian ice cream parlor.
In the evening there is also plenty to do in Jan Thiel. For live music you visit Zanzibar on Wednesday for Unplugged Beach Sessions. On Friday night you can dance at Papagayo Beach Bar during Finally Friday with Happy Hour between 9 pm - 10 pm. Every Saturday night you can enjoy Happy Hour (between 5 pm - 6 pm) at Zanzibar where also a live band performs starting 6 pm.
